Moba Grader Options

Eggs are scanned by means of an acoustical system in a very accurate way.
The entire surface of the eggshell is scanned for any cracks, from big to very small. With information about the size and location of each crack, the operator can tune the system to his demands.
The Moba crack detector can be added to Prima2000, Moba2500 and Omnia egg graders.

Moba has developed a new method for detecting cracks in the eggshell. By combining the possibilities of the latest technology in visual systems with artificial intelligence (“AI”), Moba has set a new standard in crack detection. Through AI, the Vision Shell Inspector can see even the tiniest cracks that are not visible to the human eye. This new method works on all eggs, regardless of their color! Since eggs are natural products, and no two cracks are the same. Moba has taught the AI network with thousands and thousands of sample pictures; training the system what is right or wrong.

With the Vision Shell Inspector, there is no contact with the eggshell and this results in a reduction in cross-contamination. Another advantage is that cleaning procedures are significantly simplified. All this is especially helpful in markets with very strict hygienic requirements.

Commercial systems will be available on new Omnia PX machines as of early 2022. The Vision Shell Inspector is only available for the markets where eggs are washed, as Moba is still investigating the possibility of using similar technology in the non-washed market.

By means of Ultra Violet light chances of bacterial cross-contamination are reduced by a factor 1000.

In combination with the Omnia program this offers a way to produce safe eggs.

By means of camera’s and special lighting, an advanced computerprogram can detect leaking- and dirty eggs on the infeed of egg graders. Leakers can be rejected in several dropgates (depending on the machine configuration) and dirt eggs will be sorted on an offgrade lane. Besides the decision if an egg is dirty, also the severity of the offgrade is adjustable. This combined with the flexibility of the control makes the simultanious production of accurate output qualities possible.

Moba has now introduces its fourth generation of the Egg inspector with advanced Artificial Intelligence software and the EggQualizer tool. With this new feature, you can adjust your Egg inspector40 to match your quality requirements. How? By allowing you to set your standard per defect. So you can “tell” your Egg inspector if, for example, a feather is acceptable or how big a black dirt spot must be for the egg to be rejected. In this way, you determine what is acceptable and ensure that every egg that ends up in consumer products meets the quality standards of the target market.

Shell Strength Detection is a groundbreaking system that not only is able to identify cracks, but also determines a quality rating for the shell strength of each egg. Thanks to a new and patented algorithm, that has been added to analyse the acoustic signal, the Shell Strength Detection can distinguish and separate weak shelled eggs and strong shelled eggs.
This allows you to:

• Monitor your supplies on quality
• Continue to run flocks for a longer period of time
• Create premium quality products from average production runs

The Multi Outlet system will remove not only leakers, but also dirty eggs before touching the next roller section in the so called ‘Multi drum’. By doing so, ‘clean’ and ‘dirty’ areas can be defined.
This method removes dirty eggs in the earliest possible stage without the need to pass unnecessary roller sections, egg dryer, UV system or any other downstream technology. For now, the Multi Outlet is only available for the Omnia PX700. Please contact us for further information.

In the main transport frame of Omnia egg graders, a spectrum analysis of the egg contents will reveal bloodspots in eggs.
Because of led lamps, this system works well on all egg types, including the darkest of brown eggs.

This function enables the operator of Omnia egg graders to grade eggs not only on weight but also on shell color.
This feature can be used to split up white and brown eggs from one mixed flow or produce eggs on a packinglane with one nice uniform color to be sold as premium product.

In the Omnia program, all parts that can come in contact with eggs in the packer can be taken out to be cleaned outside the machine. This parts washer is designed to handle the parts of the Omnia XF and FT series.

This parts washer is designed and programmed to provide the best washing- and disinfection program for these plastic parts and ensures the production of safe eggs in an effective way.
